Flat Oval Reed

Machine cut splints from larger sizes of the rattan core. Used in both seat weaving and basket making.

Flat bottom and gently rounded top side. (Not to be confused with half round.)

Each coil will consist of multiple pieces of varying lengths.

All reed is cut by hand on simple machines and may have a true measurement of slightly larger or smaller. Please specify if a true width is needed.

• Flat on one side and gently rounded on the other.
• Most often used for rims.
• Approximately 60 feet per one pound coil.
