About Class

Is your spinning feeling a little blah lately? Do you feel like everything turns to mud? Does blending for color feel like an impossibly endless number of variables that ultimately forces you to choose the ‘safest’ option? Let’s get you out of this slump and on the road to color confidence with your spinning. Join Sara for a day of color exploration and color theory for spinners. During our workshop students will look at how to navigate their spinning with confidence through blending and plying techniques to achieve those handspun skeins of yarn that inspire knitting, crochet and weaving projects you will be proud of. Students will have an opportunity to create a small collection of sample skeins demonstrating basic color schemes, value changes and optical mixing to create custom colors of their liking.

All materials to produce your one of a kind handspun yarns included with your tuition. Bring your wheel for a day of fun and learning, or request to borrow one of our studio wheels.
