Unlock the captivating world of Echo and Iris weaving, a technique renowned for its ability to create stunning, multi-layered patterns and an illusion of depth!
In this hands-on workshop, you'll delve into the elegant interplay of color and structure that defines Echo and Iris. Often described as "simple complexity," this method allows weavers to achieve intricate designs with surprising ease, making it a rewarding exploration for both curious beginners and experienced weavers seeking new challenges.
In this class you will learn the foundations of Echo and Iris. You’ll be able to understand the core principles behind this unique structure, including threadings, tie-ups, and treadling sequences that bring these luminous patterns to life. Discover how to select and combine colors to maximize the "echo" effect, creating shimmering transitions and dynamic contrasts within your fabric. We'll explore how different fiber types and colors interact to enhance the visual impact. In this round robin style class, you’ll see the transforming of the chosen patterns into beautiful Echo and Iris cloth on 4 harness and 8 harness designs.
