About Class

Already taken Beginning Spinning and want to gain a better understanding of fiber preparation, spinning and plying? In this 1 day class, we will explore the differences between worsted and woolen spun yarns, show you how to better card and comb your fibers using wool combs. We will discuss when to use your wheel’s different whorls for soft spun or tightly spun yarns, and how to prepare and spin cotton and silk. Toward the end of the day we will discuss different plying techniques.

All materials are included with your tuition. Bring your wheel for a day of fun and learning, or request to borrow one of our studio wheels.
