About Class

Want to learn a very simple, portable technique for creating plain weave projects? This class has been designed for you. The class will cover fundamental information including warp calculations and appropriate yarn choices, plus explore two different techniques for dressing the loom. Students will warp looms with yarns provided by the weaving studio. Looms will also be provided for instructional use, but those students who already have a rigid heddle loom are encouraged to bring it along in order to get to know it better.

If you’re looking to buy a rigid heddle, then this class is for you because you can try out different models before buying! We’re an authorized dealer for Ashford, Glimakra, Kromski, Louet and Schacht.

Please let the office know if you’re bringing your own loom or need to borrow one of our studio looms. Other add on options include pre-purchasing you new loom and having assembled for class use.
