Schacht Spring and String for Tensioned Lazy Kate

To install spring and string: cut old spring and string off of dowels. Insert each end of the new spring and string through the small holes on dowels and tie around the dowel.

Loosen wing nuts on one dowel and rotate, wrapping or unwrapping the string around the dowel, to change tension.
